About Me

Hi, I am Sheryl. I am glad you are here.

I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a space where they can be fully honest — without fear of judgment.

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and work with a wide range of concerns: anxiety, depression, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental differences, behavioral challenges, grief and loss, relationship concerns, and trauma.

I also have a deep passion for working with athletes. As a former Division I basketball player, I understand firsthand the unique pressures of competitive sport — and how much the mental game matters both on and off the field.

A Note for Athletes

I have been where you are.

As a former Division I basketball player, I know what it means to tie your identity to your sport, to feel the weight of expectations, and to wonder who you are when the game is over.

I am especially passionate about helping athletes build confidence, resilience, and the mental skills to reach their full potential — both on and off the field. Whether you are dealing with performance anxiety, recovering from injury, navigating a transition out of sport, or simply wanting to sharpen your mental game, I am here for it.

What I Believe

The values that guide my work.

Evidence-based care

I ground my work in approaches that research has shown to be effective — primarily CBT — while always tailoring the process to the individual in front of me.

Your pace, always

There is no timeline for healing. I follow your lead, and we move at whatever speed feels right and safe for you.

Whole-person perspective

You are more than your diagnosis or your struggles. I am interested in all of you — your strengths, your story, your goals, and your life outside the therapy room.

Ongoing growth

I am committed to continuous learning so I can provide the most effective, up-to-date care. Your wellbeing deserves nothing less.
